South Carolina Post #1...The Beach

On November 22nd we left Maryland to drive 600 miles south to Edisto Beach, South Carolina thanks to our friends Chris and Ann Ricchini who used some of their timeshare points to gift us with a place to stay for the week. They were also there as were 2 other families. Unfortuneately 600 miles south doesn't necessarily mean much warmer. The temperatures were low throughout the week...we had the heat on the entire time at our place. Fortunately it was sunny almost the entire week which provided some warmth. On one of the nicer days Matt and I headed to the beach for a brief period with Madison and Carson. 2 buckets and 2 shovels and they were happy. Madison was happy digging in the sand and repeatedly filled up her bucket. Carson was happy exploring and picking up all kinds of shells. Neither were interested in getting too close to the ocean so there was no need to worry. Here are a few shots of our time.

Don't let this picture fool you. As soon as the water was heading in his direction he turned and ran the other way.
