We ended our time at the Tetons on June 30th with some horseback rides for the kids....what a bargain...for $5 each they were put on a regular horse (no pony) and taken for a good 5 to 10 minute ride around the stables and corral....much better deal than the pony rides they offer at the local fair. The kids were thrilled, of course.
Madison first.
Then Carson.
And finally Jason.
Then back to camp to finish loading and packing.
One last look at our tent cabin before leaving....hopefully we'll be back someday!
The inside...the bunked pull-down cots.
And even a wood-stove for extra warmth, if needed.
From there we headed south to Jackson Hole, Wyoming (the site of the ER I visited). We stopped at the museum which gave us a closer look at some wildlife (of course, it was dead).
Outside on their deck we were able to hold some elk antlers.
And back inside, pictures in front of an elk.
Jackson Hole is very touristy and in the middle of town there are these large elk antler tunnels. You can't go there and not get a picture in front of them!
We decided to take the kids on a stagecoach ride through the city.
All aboard!
Matt found that he could get a little closer to a buffalo....a special buffalo couch!
